    In the WAN setup Section I connect to my provider using PPoE.

    Is there a way to make the VPNBook configuration in the PPTP Client section (under Service -> VPN)?

    I tried this and it did tunnel with PPTP but my voip phone (talkit.ca) still did not get past the blocking here in saudi arabia. Do you know of a way to set up my Buffalo whr-hp-300N router to get by this? maybe by using Openvpn?

    • diaahussein says:

      PPTP should do it but for voice the VPN Option will not be your best
      try using Obitalk ( it uses google voice wich is open in Saudi Arabia)

  3. Richard says:

    It works if I manually input the password each time it changes. Any update on the command and cron job settings?

    • diaahussein says:

      sure you can Manually do it on your Own but
      Just create a shell script lets call it VPNbook.sh
      edit it with any Editor and add the below code
      line="$(curl | grep "Password:" | awk -F: '{print $2}'| awk 'NF > 0' |awk 'NR < 2' | awk '{print substr($1, 9, length($1)-22)}')" currentpassword="$(uci get network.vpn.password)" if [ "$currentpassword" == "$line" ]; then echo "No update is needed" "$now" else uci set network.vpn.password=$line uci commit network.vpn.password currentpassword="$(uci get network.vpn.password)" fi

      add the following to your cron
      */5 * * * * sh /your_location/vpnbook.sh

      If you mean that the server is the one who disconnects you if the password has changed this is normal
      if you mean that my script is the one who is forcing disconnect after password change please let me know and I will check it out
